Dip beneath the flotsam of categories. Past nouns. Beyond exclamations! Down to the autological: words possessing the very property they express. Short is short. Sesquipedalian is long. Sumpin' has that thing on the tip of the tongue, and Easy just rolls off as easy as Sunday morning. Sumpin' Easy is everything they've learned about making hop-forward beer expressed in a moderate voice. Pale, cold, slightly alcoholic, and bitter. It's all they know.

It's a beer for everyone to enjoy: construction workers, stock brokers, farmers, sales people, clerks, teachers, lawyers, doctors, even other brewers. Its light bronze color and distinctly hoppy flavor have made it a favorite in St. Paul, Minneapolis and the rest of the Upper Midwest ever since we first brewed it back in 1986.

  • Guinness

    Brewery: Guinness & Co.

    Stats:
    ABV 4.2% Gravity: 1.04/10°P
    IBU: 30 RateBeer.com: 87
Quite possibly the most famous stout in the world, Guinness is produced by the Guinness brewery in Dublin, Ireland, and other locations in Ireland. It is a very dark stout beer that has a notable "cascade" effect below the head when it is poured, due to the nitrogen content of the liquid. This also produces a notably smooth head, because nitrogen bubbles are smaller than carbon dioxide bubbles.

The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It's not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you'd expect.

Our tartly refreshing, kettle-soured Stone Berliner Weisse gained its orthodox sour and acidic character from a specially selected Lactobacillus strain sourced from local Berlin cultures. To ensure a properly Stone, and therefore iconoclastic, Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista. This beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of apricots and the sweetness of ripe honeydew.

Rosalie is co-fermented with Chardonnay and other wine grape varieties harvested just miles from the brewery. We also incorporate a dash of hibiscus flower to achieve a brilliant color.
